Four fire departments responded to a house fire that injured two firefighters at 610 Broadway in Cedarhurst near noon on July 4, officials said.

James McHugh, chief of the Lawrence-Cedarhurst department, said the alarm was received at 11:51 a.m. He said the fire was in the home’s attic and second floor. It was extinguished a short time later by LCFD personnel, McHugh added.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene. Firefighters from the Hewlett, Inwood Long Beach and Woodmere department, along with Hatzalah also responded.
