Light Rain Fog/Mist Celebrating Inwood Day in Lawrence

Inwood Day attracted a substantial crowd at the Five Towns Community Center in Lawrence on Aug. 18.

Community Center board member and Delta Sigma Theta Nassau Chapter Alumnae Evelyn Jackson and volunteer Mohamed Alkaifi helped prepare and serve the food to residents.

Fools Night Out performed its repertoire of pop and rock hits at Inwood Day.
The Five Towns Community Center in Lawrence, once called the Inwood Community Center, was the place to be on Aug. 18, as Inwood Day was celebrated. A three-hour civic event in partnership with County Legislator Carrié Solages.
There was food ranging from burgers to hot dogs and sno-cones, there was a bouncy house, a water slide, basketball, soccer, live music from Fools Night Out, games, giveaways, prizes and raffles. The first 100 children received a free school supplies and a backpack.
