The National Council of Negro Women held its Founder’s Day Tea celebration in honor of Women’s History Month at the Five Towns Community Center in Lawrence last Sunday.
Founded in 1935, the Council brings together national African-American organizations and community-based sections to lead, develop and advocate for women of African descent as they support their families and lend a helping hand in their communities.
