For the second consecutive year, the New York National Guard Counterdrug Task Force provided a drug prevention program for students at Lawrence Middle School.
The combined soldier and airman team spoke to the students during a 45-minute interactive classroom session about the importance of making positive life decisions about taking drugs or drinking alcohol, and understanding that who they associate with affects the choices they make.
In addition to the classroom learning, the National Guard brought a rock wall that challenged the students to set goals and overcome obstacles.
