Dina Rosenzweig, 19, of Cedarhurst

Cedarhurst resident and Chabad of the Five Towns member Dina Rosenzweig died after a motor vehicle accident near Buffalo on Aug. 22, according to multiple reports. She was 19.

Rosenzweig, along with Esther Urbach, were both critically injured in the crash and taken to a hospital. Rosenzweig underwent emergency surgery but succumbed to her injuries on Aug. 23.  Urbach remains hospitalied. The young women had visited Niagara Falls.

“She was a very sweet girl, everybody’s favorite babysitter,” said Rabbi Zalman Wolowik, director of the Five Towns Chabad. “She had a heart of gold. Very spiritual.”

One of 12 children, Rosenzweig is survived by her  parents Rabbi Menachem and Devorah Rosenzweig, and her siblings Chana, Mordechi, Aharon Moshe, Chaim Tamar, Yossi, Sarah, Hadassah, Menucha, Batsheva and Eliyahu.
