Gloria Gaynor
Disco is in the air at Eisenhower Park when Gloria Gaynor, the queen of the disco era, relives those “I Will Survive Days” at a free concert. It will be an entertaining, nostalgic evening with Gaynor performing her many hits. Gaynor established her career with the 1975 album, “Never Can Say Goodbye,” which included several disco songs that became popular at dance clubs. Her 1978 song, “I Will Survive,” climbed to the top of Billboard’s “Pop Charts” the following year, and received a Grammy Award for Best Disco Recording. Her 1984 song, “I Am What I Am,” reached the Top 10 on Billboard’s Dance Disco Hits. In the years since, Gaynor has continued to record albums, including the 2002 “I Wish You Love.” She has appeared on Broadway and wrote her autobiography, “I Will Survive.”

Recently, in his directorial debut “The Dukes” (co-starring Chazz Palminteri, Peter Bogdanovich and Miriam Margoles), Davi returned to his lyrical roots by portraying a doo-wop singer trying to make a comeback.
