DRS alumni gather in Israel with rabbis

Rabbis from David Renov Stahler (DRS) Yeshiva High School for Boys visited alumni who are studying at 20 different schools in Israel last month, in what has become an annual tradition. The rabbis reconnect with the graduates and aim to strengthen the Rebbe-Talmud relationship DRS takes prides in.

DRS Principal Rabbi Yisroel Kaminetsky and Associate Principal Rabbi Elly Storch meet with every single student and documented their experiences. The goal is to understand how they can better serve their students when helping them make their choices on which schools in Israel to attend.

A reunion is held in Yeshivat Netiv Aryeh, overlooking the kotel, where nearly 100 DRS alumni joined together for another taste of the Woodmere school. Rabbi Aryeh Cohen, a popular Rebbe in DRS, holds an annual mealtime reunion after Shabbos.

School officials are very happy to see so many alumni growing through their experience at yeshivas in Israel. DRS is proud that 96 percent of their graduates decide to spend a year after high school learning in the Jewish state for a year.
