Light Rain Bill Dubin named Kiwanian of the Year

Hewlett High School teacher and coach Bill Dubin was named Kiwanian of the Year at the Peninsula Kiwanis’s annual Installation and Awards Night at Angelina’s in Lynbrook on Oct. 4.
Dubin has been a member of Peninsula Kiwanis since 2003. He has spearhead the club’s annual Back Pack project. The club has provided backpacks filled with school supplies for 240 students in need annually for the past five years. His efforts include a wide range of activities and he is always there to help on any club project, Kiwanis officials said.
Michael Gliner of Far Rockaway was installed as president of Peninsula Kiwanis.
