Avi, Aeli and Jake Cohen of Woodmere got up close and personal with some eels at the Garden city-based Long Island Children’s Museum during the three- weekend series “Saltwater Stories: The Whale’s Wake.”
More than 7,000 visitors immersed themselves in whaling history and explored the contributions and influences of Native- and African-American to that industry. The series was funded by New York Council of the Humanities and the New York Council on the Arts.
