Stern defeats Bodner 6-1 in Woodmere
In the only contested fire district commissioner race, incumbent David Stern overwhelmingly defeated challenger Stuart Bodner 321-50 on Dec. 10.
"The community came out and supported me and I look forward to giving them great service for another five years," Stern said.
Ruth Sameulson, who previuosly served as commissioner, defeated incumbent Roger Vargas in Meadowmere Park.
George Miller running unopposed for commissioner in Inwood received 59 votes.
In Hewlett Bay there was one write in vote as sitting commissioner Paul Breslin collected 22 votes.
Incumbent Atlantic Beach Fire Rescue Commissioner Steve Cherson ran unopposed.
In Lawrence North, incumbents Gary Caparelli and Anthony Dinardi were unopposed.
All terms are five years.
