Firefighters rescue man trapped in flipped car

Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department firefighters freed a man trapped inside his car that had turned on its side at the intersection of Peninsula Boulevard and Rockaway Turnpike in Cedarhurst at 7:15 a.m. on May 26.
Firefighters removed the vehicle’s roof. The man was taken by Nassau County police ambulance to South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside. He was listed in stable condition, according LCFD Chief John McHugh.
No other vehicles were in the accident.
