Arrests

CEDARHURST – Fourth Squad detectives arrested Bruno G. Pannuccio Jr., 24, of Albermarle Road in Cedarhurst on Jan. 11 for the Sept. 26 burglary of a Buckingham Road residence.

Pannuccio allegedly entered the Cedarhurst home through a rear second story window and took assorted jewelry that belonged to the homeowner, police said. He was identified through physical evidence left at the scene.

Charged with burglary-second degree, Pannuccio was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Jan. 12.

NORTH WOODMERE – Nadia Sheppard, 27, of Jamaica, and Dashant S. Scriven, 38, of Springfield Gardens, were arrested for shoplifting from a department store on Rockaway Turnpike at 2 p.m. on Dec. 22

Burglary

CEDARHURST – Two residents of an Arbuckle Avenue home startled an alleged burglar who made off with a handbag on Jan. 15 at 8:22 p.m., police said.

A man entered the house through the unlocked front door and took a green leather Banana Republic handbag from the dining room table, according to police. The women, 62 and 23, were home watching television in another room, when they heard someone in the house.

Surprised that someone was in the home, the man fled with the handbag. He is described as black, 20- to 30-years-old, approximately 5-feet, 10-inches tall with a heavy or stocky build, wearing a tan colored jacket with a hood and a black colored knit hat.

Larceny

CEDARHURST – A Hewlett-Packard laptop was taken from a vehicle parked on Grove Avenue between 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 5 and 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 6, police said.

CEDARHURST - The rear driver’s side window of a vehicle parked on Chestnut Street was shattered and a Kodak digital camera and cell phone were stolen between 10 p.m. on Jan. 5 and 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 6, according to police.

CEDARHURST – Between 3 p.m. on Jan. 6 and 6:15 p.m. on Jan. 7, pay stubs and a vehicle owner’s manual were taken from a vehicle parked on Arbuckle Avenue, authorities said.

LAWRENCE – An iPod, a Kodak digital camera and $30 in coins were removed from a vehicle parked on Bernard Street between 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 6 and 7 a.m. on Jan. 8, officials said.

CEDARHURST – A pair of Valentino shoes were stolen between 3 p.m. on Jan. 6 and 3 p.m. on Jan. 8, from an unlocked vehicle parked on Church Avenue, police said.

Criminal Mischief

CEDARHURST – The left side passenger window of a vehicle parked on Washington Avenue was damaged between 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 5 and 8 a.m. on Jan. 6, according to police.

CEDARHURST – The driver’s side window of a vehicle parked on Chestnut Street was damaged between 10 p.m. on Jan. 5 and 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 6, authorities said.
