Arrests

CEDARHURST – Kevin Roldan, 20, of Carmen Avenue, was arrested on Jan. 24 after allegedly stealing a Samsung flat panel television valued at $650 from his place of employment, police said.

Roldan, who worked as a cook at Much n’Stuff at 206 Rockaway Turnpike, allegedly left the back door to the business unlocked before he left for the night on Jan. 23, and, according to police, later returned after midnight to take the TV. Police arrested him at the store.

He was charged with burglary-third degree and arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Jan. 25.

NORTH WOODMERE – Christine Celenza, 35, of Brooklyn, was arrested for the alleged theft of 12 containers of baby formula from a department store on Rockaway Boulevard at 4:10 p.m. on Jan. 23.

Grand larceny

CEDARHURST – Assorted clothing valued at $2,800 was stolen from a store on Central Avenue at 5:20 p.m. on Jan. 20, police said.

Larceny

CEDARHURST – An iPod was taken from a vehicle parked on Cedarhurst Avenue between Jan. 20 at 9:30 a.m. and Jan. 21 at 11:50 a.m., according to police.

n ATLANTIC BEACH – Four hubcaps were removed from a vehicle parked on Albany Boulevard between Jan. 16 at 9 p.m. and Jan. 17 at 5 p.m., authorities said.

Robbery

CEDARHURST – A man armed with a silver handgun allegedly robbed the Right Time Grocery at 210 Rockaway Tpke. on Jan. 30, and took an unspecified amount of cash, police said.

He entered the store and ordered the employee, a 53-year-old man to lie on the floor. With the gun displayed, he demanded the employee hand over money from the cash register, according to police.

The man was described as black, 6-feet tall, medium build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with white lettering and was wearing a green bandana covering his face. He left the store and got into the passenger side of a cream colored Ford Explorer that headed north on Rockaway Turnpike. There were no injuries, police said.
