Arrests

HEWLETT – Nakia Pellom, 27 and Detrice Smith, 25, both of Brooklyn, were arrested for shoplifting from a clothing store on Broadway at 1:25 p.m. on Jan. 25, police said.

LAWRENCE – On Jan. 26 at 7 p.m., Jose Lopez, 67, of Far Rockaway, was arrested for shoplifting from a warehouse store on Rockaway Turnpike, according to police.

Robbery

INWOOD – Two people robbed an Inwood resident at gunpoint outside of his Lawrence Avenue home of an unspecified amount of money on Jan. 31 at 12:45 a.m., police said.

The man, 31, was walking down his driveway when a man and woman in a white Land Rover pulled up and asked him for directions, according to police. The driver allegedly pulled out a silver handgun and ordered the man not to move. The woman passenger went through the man’s pockets and took money from his wallet, police said.

After discarding the wallet, the man and woman were last seen driving south on Lawrence Avenue. No injuries were reported.

The man in the Land Rover is described as black, 6-feet tall and in his 40s. The woman is described as Hispanic and 5-feet tall.
