Arrests

NASSAU COUNTY- Avraham Kardi, 45, of Pebble Lane, Hewlett, was arrested for operating a home improvement business without a permit during a joint operation conducted by the 4th Precinct and the county’s Consumer Affairs Department between April 29 and May 1, police said.

LAWRENCE- Larry Hughes, 54, of Arverne, was arrested for shoplifting from a warehouse store on Rockaway Turnpike on April 27 at 3:30 p.m., police said.

LAWRENCE- Far Rockaway resident Maria Zetina, 48, and Mike Zetina, 21, of Arverne, were arrested for shoplifting from a warehouse store on Rockaway Turnpike on April 29 at 1:45 p.m., according to police.

HEWLETT – Benjamin Eisenstein, 58, of Cedarhurst, was arrested for driving while intoxicated at the intersection of Peninsula Boulevard and Stevenson Road at 9:50 a.m. on April 29, authorities said.


Auto larceny

CEDARHURST – A Cadillac emblem was stolen from the hood of the vehicle, which was parked on Spruce Street at 3 a.m. on April 23, police said.

CEDARHURST – Between April 25 at 4 p.m. and April 26 at 9 a.m., a portable DVD player was taken from an unlocked vehicle on Oxford, according to police.

INWOOD- An iPad and accessories were removed from an unlocked vehicle on Wanser Avenue at 5:55 a.m. on April 26, authorities said.

Criminal mischief

CEDARHURST – The rear window of a vehicle on Prospect Avenue was damaged between 6:30 and 9:30 a.m. on April 30, officials said.
