Two arrested for Hewlett robbery

Two men, one a North Woodmere resident, were arrested on Aug. 1 at 1:35 a.m., for the alleged robbery of a teenager in Hewlett, police said.

According to police, a 15 year old boy was about to enter the In & Out convenience store at 300 Mill Road, when Nissan Kohen, of Fordham Lane in North Woodmere, and Keith Miles, of East Rockaway, both 19, demanded money from him.

He gave them money, but the men wanted more and allegedly Kohen pulled out a knife and the boy gave them more money. The pair then got into a white Ford and fled, police said.

Police found them in the vicinity of the East Rockaway Long Island Rail Road train station and they were arrested.
Both men were charged with robbery-first degree and robbery-second degree.
