Flipping pancakes, raising money for Parkinson’s

More than 400 people attended the fifth annual Pancakes for Parkinson’s and helped to raise $18,000 at Congregation Sons of Israel on Dec. 8.

Hosted by the Epstein, Schornstein and Bergman families, the fundraising event recaptured the momentum after being cancelled last year due to Hurricane Sandy and overall money collected is more than $50,000 and still counting, according to Amy Epstein, one of the organizers. “It’s amazing when your fiends, family and community come out to show their support,” she said.

All proceeds will be donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
