Nassau Expressway collision results in injuries to four people

Fours cars collided on the Nassau Expresway in North Lawrence on March 2.

A four-car chain reaction collision on the Nassau Expressway north of Burnside Avenue in North Lawrence at 8:30 p.m. on March 2 resulted in four people being taken to an area hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The northbound side of the expressway was closed off for an hour until the vehicles and debris were removed, officials said. The Lawrence Cedarhurst Fire Department and Nassau County police responded to the scene.
