Four people were rescued by emergency responders after the operator of a personal water craft lost control and all four went into the water in Jamaica Bay by Joseph Sanford Jr. Channel off Inwood Park, said Inwood Fire Chief Al Rizzo, near 9 p.m. on July 7.

All four were wearing personal flotation devices, police said. Two of the four people were taken to a local hospital for evaluation, according to police.
