Gus Ciotti of Inwood dies at 85

Life long Inwood resident Gus Ciotti died in Wellington, Fla. on March 24. He was 85.

A graduate of Lawrence High School, Ciotti was a World War II veteran. He worked as a supervisor in the engineering department of the now closed Massapequa General Hospital.

Ciotti was a member of the Inwood VFW, the Elks Club in Lynbrook, the Inwood Buccaneer Athletic Club, the Spartans Sports Club and the Peninsula Golf Club.

His wife Philomena predeceased him. Ciotti is survived by his daughters Cheryl Rivelli (the late Joseph), Theresa Gallo (Arthur) and Jessica Stagno (Lawrence), along with grandchildren Phylicia, Rudy, David, Christopher, Artie and Stephen.

A service was held at the Donza Funeral Home in East Rockaway.
