Have lunch with the Friends and two authors

The Friends of Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library will host authors Jamie Brenner and Lynda Cohen Loigman at a luncheon on Thursday, June 14, 11:30 a.m., at the Seawane Country Club, 1300 Club Drive, Hewlett Harbor.

Brenner won accolades for her novel, “The Forever Summer.” Her most recent novel, “The Husband Hour” was released in April. It was inspired by the true story of former NFL star and military hero Pat Tillman. A Philadelphia native, she lives in New York City with her husband and two daughters.

Holding a bachelor’s in English and American literature from Harvard College and a law degree from Columbia Law School, Loigman, a student of the Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence College, had her debut novel, “The Two-Family House:


Brooklyn, 1947” published in 2016. She lives with her husband and two children in upstate Chappaqua.
