Five Towns Kiwanis held its 39th annual Marty Mongoni golf outing on July 9 at the Middle Bay Country Club in Oceanside.
The shotgun start was at 10:30 a.m. and 104 golfers participated and 116 people attended the dinner. This year’s event honoree is 1in9’s Hewlett House that serves as place for cancer patients and their families to network and receive vital information. The country club donated $3,000 to Hewlett House.
Proceeds from the event will benefit a variety of Kiwanis programs, including scholarships to Hewlett, Lawrence and Lynbrook high school students, senior activities, toys for children and purchasing dinners on Thanksgiving for those in need.
