Herald reporter wants to hear your stories

Posted

Hello Nassau Herald readers. My name is Diana Colapietro and I am 22 years old. I am originally from Brooklyn, but I grew up in Franklin Square. I attended Sacred Heart Academy in Hempstead and graduated in 2012.

From there, I went to St. John’s University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in photojournalism and a minor in international studies.
I am a reporter for the Nassau Herald and cover community news in the Five Towns. Previously, I interned for two semesters as an editorial intern for amNewYork’s website, amNY.com and served as the photo editor of The Torch, the independent student newspaper at St. John’s.

My favorite color is green and I absolutely love music. Listening to it, playing it, sharing it … I love it all. Going to the beach and traveling are also two of my favorite things to do.

I look forward to hearing from local community members to learn about what is on their minds. Feel free to contact me at dcolapietro@liherald.com or (516) 569-4000 ext. 210.
