Hewlett-Woodmere library offers remote services
Though physically closed since March 15, the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library remains open to its patrons through the coronavirus pandemic by accessing the library’s website. The Covid-19 page provides links to all types of things to learn about and do, curated by library staff.

There are also new services available, such as Hoopla which allows patrons to stream movies, music and download eBooks, and District 14 residents can sign up for a digital library card if you do not currently have a card.

The main page of the library website will look the same. The library is doing more online and it is listed on the online calendar, so please take note of HWPL’s Calendar of Events.

A special edition of the newsletter, Overleaf and Overleaf Jr. is in production. It should soon be in the mailboxes of all library district residents.

As with many businesses, institutions and organizations, Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library does not have a date when the building on Broadway in Hewlett will reopen or in what capacity. Library officials Wanted to reach out to its patrons and share news of what the library is doing during this difficult time and helpful information regarding the pandemic.”

The library’s website is www.hwpl.org.
