Homeless Cedarhurst man reported missing is found

Rotem Balila, who is said to be homeless and originally from Cedarhurst, went missing on Aug. 24 at 1:30 a.m., was found, police said. A  report was filed with the Nassau County Missing Persons Squad on Aug. 25 at 10:10 p.m.

Balila, 29, had been last seen on foot at the Jamaica Long Island Rail Road train station in Queens. The Cedarhurst native was thought to be headed to the Five Towns community.

Police ask that anyone with information on people who go missing should call  the Missing Persons Squad at (516) 573-7347 or call 911. All calls are confidential.
