Police identified Marcos Guillen as the pedestrian who at the intersection of Mott Avenue and the Nassau Expressway in Inwood at 9:08 p.m. on Feb. 3, and died from his injuries at an area hospital at 10:22 p.m., police said.
Guillen, 24, was crossing at Mott Avenue when he was struck by a 1995 Honda heading north on the expressway, according to police. The driver, 25, remained at the scene. His vehicle underwent a brake and safety check, police said. The investigation is continuing.
Inwood Fire Department volunteers and emergency medical personnel also responded to the accident.
