Lawrence business on Rockaway Turnpike robbed

A man who acted like he had a gun allegedly robbed L Business Multi Services at 287 Rockaway Turnpike in Lawrence of an unspecified amount of cash on Feb. 16 at 5:57 p.m., police said.

According to police, the man entered the business and asked a 19-year-old woman employee for change of dollar to use for the bus. When she opened the cash register, he allegedly jumped through a partition, forced her to the floor, simulated having a gun and took the money.

He is described as black man, 30- to 35-years-old, 5-feet, 10-inches tall; weighing 185 pounds, wearing dark colored or black pants, tan colored shirt, fur lined mouton-style hat, black shoes and dark colored sunglasses.
