Lawrence High School students head to DECA International

Lawrence High School sophomore Xian Scott, and juniors Nader Daruvala and Luke Kirchner received honors at the Distributive Education Clubs of America State Career Conference in Rochester Feb. 26 to 28. They advance to the international level conference April 29 to May 2, the 15th consecutive year for Lawrence High. Scott placed sixth in the Professional Selling Event.

In the Integrated Marketing Campaign Event, Daruvala and Kirchner finished seventh. Daruvala placed in the top 10 for the exam portion of that event. Kirchner will compete on the international level for the second straight year.

Mark Albin, the DECA adviser said: “I am very proud of the overall effort put forth from this group. It really is all about the work ethic and dedicating as much time as possible to their craft.”
