Three firefighters were injured and taken to a local hospital while extinguishing a fire at a house that was used as a synagogue known as the Beach Shul near Beach 2nd Street in Lawrence on the Queens border on Feb. 4, officials at the scene said.

The Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department received a report of a building fire at 12:17 a.m., at 206 Seagirt Ave. The blaze caused the roof to collapse, LCFD officials said.

Lawrence-Cedarhurst,  Hewlett, Inwood and Meadowmere Park fire departments were on the scene, along with FDNY.

Fiehouse.com reported that one of the firefighters was treated and released and the two others remained in the hospital.
