Mostly Cloudy Lawrence students schooled in karate

All the physical educations classes at Lawrence Elementary School at Broadway Campus received a visit from instructors from the Warren Levi Martial Arts dojo in Cedarhurst on Jan. 24, 25 and 26.
Warren Levi, a karate master, taught third-, fourth- and fifth-graders the rudiments of karate and about discipline and team work. Each student received a free lesson card. Sensei Johnny Rivera repeated the lessons during the after-school program. Principal Rina Beach said the students “absolutely loved it.”
