On Harold Road in Hewlett Neck, Herald student columnist Alison Hagen took photos of her brother, Bradley, an eighth-grader at Woodmere Middle Schhol.
Hagen, who is one of three writers of the Hewlett Happenings column, said there was approximately eight inches of snow.
Kids are heading to Grant Park in Hewlett to sled and play in the snow, while many high school students are shoveling to earn money, she said.
