Yes, it's April on the calendar, but apparently Mother Nature refuses to cooperate as a fast moving snowstorm could drop up to 6 inches across Long Island and the Five Towns, according to the National Wweather Service.

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 2 p.m. today. Snow is expected to fall at 1 to 2 inches per hour. Roads could be slippery with reduced visibility.

The Yankees postponed the home opener scheduled for today at the stadium in the Bronx. The Bronx Bombers will try again tomorrow as they play their Eastern Division rival Tampa Rays.
