Mask-wearing robbers hit video game store

Two men wearing Halloween masks robbed a North Lawrence video game store last Wednesday morning, Oct. 14, according to police. The suspects got away with an undisclosed amount money from the store's safe.

The masked suspects allegedly entered the Game Crazy store, located at 305 Rockaway Turnpike, at 10:05 a.m. and approached the store's lone employee, a 23-year-old male. According to police, one of the suspects simulated having a handgun and instructed the victim to open the store’s safe. The Game Crazy employee complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency to the suspects, who then exited the store and fled on foot. Police said the victim was not injured during the robbery.
