Missing Woodmere woman found

A missing Woodmere woman who was last seen at 145 Irving Place in Woodmere at 11:05 a.m. on July 5 was found, Nassau County Police said.

Amanda Williams had packed her bag and left the group home where she lives and said she wasn’t returning. It was reported that Williams could be headed to Chicago.

She is being treated for Bipolar disorder, depression and hepatitis C. Williams takes Benztropine, Clozapine and Risperidrne for her medical conditions.

Williams, 31, is white, 5-feet, 7-inches tall and 160 pounds.

The Silver Alert Program has been established in order to disseminate immediate information to local media, hospitals and other organizations when a senior citizen or other individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other cognitive disorders goes missing.
