The Brandeis School in Lawrence held its Chesed Fair, where middle school students and their parents met with different charitable organizations to learn how to become involved and “do something meaningful in honor of their bar or bat mitzvah,” said School Rabbit Tomer Grossman. Fifth grader David Blank and his mother Rebecca at the fair. Chesed is the Hebrew word for kindness.
