More swastikas in Cedarhurst

Two more swastikas were discovered in Cedarhurst, police said. The owner of a Maple Avenue building found a pair of swastikas spray painted in red on the pillars of a parking garage. The incident is thought to have occurred between March 25 at 4:30 p.m. and Monday at 10:30 a.m., according to police.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at (800) 244-8477. All calls are confidential.

On March 7, two swastikas were drawn in chalk on Oxford Road, also in Cedarhurst. Carlos A. Rivera, 17, of Central Avenue in Lawrence was arrested on March 20, and charged with two counts of aggravated harassment-first degree. He is scheduled to appear in First District Court in Hempstead on April 13.
