Officers from the 4th Precinct and Five Towns Auxiliary Police Unit 109 spoke to residents and helped distributed crime prevention literature at Andrew J. Parise Cedarhurst Park during the 28th annual “National Night Out” event on Aug. 2 from 6 to 11 p.m.

National Night Out is designed to increase crime and drug prevention awareness, create support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs, while sending a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting against crime.
