Approximately $5,000 was pledged to support Rambam Mesivta’s scholarship program during the Lawrence yeshiva’s second annual 5K race and family day on May 20.
First place finishers include Lawrence resident Aaron Freilich for the men in 19:07. Erica Brook was the first woman across the finish line in 26:09. Rambam class president Dov Herzberg finished first among the students in 19:31. For the second consecutive year Eliyahu Levy topped the children in 28:30. Hillel Gross won the alumni category in 20:20. There were nearly 125 runners overall in the 5K.
After the race, entertainment was provided by the Rambam band and clowns with a bouncy house for the children. There was pizza and cotton candy, and trophies were presented to the runners.
