Peninsula Hospital Center in Far Rockaway will recognize National Women's Health Week (May 8 to 14) with a series of free health screenings and information for women in the hospital's lobby from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. No appointments are necessary.

On Monday there will be dental, opthalmology (vision testing and glaucoma) and podiatry screenings.

Stroke and blood pressure screenings, BMIs and free Angioscreens are on Tuesday, along with food and nutrition cooking demonstration and information about staying active and healthy.

On Wednesday there is glucose screenings, diabetes and smoking cessation information.

Menopause, cervical cancer, safe sex, osteoarthritis and breast cancer are the topics for Thursday.

On Friday, there once again will be blood pressure and glucose screenings.
