To celebrate the village’s centennial, Cedarhurst’s Business Improvement District sponsored the lighting of more than 33 trees on Central and Cedarhurst avenues and Chestnut Street. It was the first time since 1984 that the village trees have been lit.

The Herald is also seeking candidates for its “Person of the Year.”
The individual must be a volunteer, not a paid employee, of an organization, or a person whose efforts have a positive impact on their community.
