At 1 p.m. on Aug. 10, Meadow Lane in Lawrence was flooded due to the heavy rain.

One of several heavy rain storms that are predicted for the area struck the Five Towns hard on Aug. 10 as streets were flooded and residents dodged the drops.
Currently, it is 70° and the humidity is 94 percent.
The forecast calls for thunderstorms and a few could be severe. The high temperature is expected to be 78°.
