Inwood-based Hard Knox organization that seeks to help young men gain self-esteem through playing basketball and learning manners held a garage sale on June 30 and July 1.
Items such as clothes, dishes, glasses, yard supplies and water were sold at prices that ranged from $1 to $25. The goal was to raise $800.
The proceeds will help pay for books and furniture and put some spending money in the pockets of three Hard Knox members who are attending college this fall, Ahmad Shamseldin, Tysean Parker and Andre St. Vistal.
