Reliving history at Rock Hall Country Fair

Posted

A Civil War encampment, colonial historians, a wampum-making demonstration and antique cars created a historical atmosphere at the 29th annual Rock Hall Country Fair last weekend on the grounds of the 18th century plantation, now a Town of Hempstead museum in Lawrence.
Juggler/comedian Will Shaw and country music band Bob Stump and the Roadside Attraction performed. There was also a harvest tent, many craft vendors, farm animals, pony rides, scarecrow making, a pumpkin patch and a variety of food. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Rock Hall, a volunteer group that supports the museum’s programs.
