Louis Anthony Cisario

Inwood resident died on July 7

Louis Anthony Cisario of Inwood died on July 7. He was 24-years-old. Cisario, a process server, was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car at the intersection of Peninsula Boulevard and Woodmere boulevards in Woodmere.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy Ann Manzella of West Islip, father Albert P. Cisario, Jr. of Inwood, grandmothers Pauline Cisario of Inwood and Carmella Guida of Lawrence, sisters Christina Cisario of Bay Shore and Alexa Cisario of Inwood, and brothers Joshua Cisario of Inwood, John Manzella and Vincent Manzella both of West Islip.

A funeral mass was held at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church in Inwood on July 11 followed by internment at Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury.

Thomas William Antonucci

Former administrative assistant to two county executives died on July 10

Thomas William Antonucci of Cedarhurst died on July 11. He was 89-years-old.

Antonucci was born in Clarrion, Pa. and then moved to Cedarhurst, where he was a long time resident.

A military veteran, Antonucci served in the U.S. Army during World War II, where he fought in the European Theatre. Following the war, he married Florence Mastantuho of Inwood, who died in July of 2000. Antonucci also served as the administrative assistant for former Nassau County Executives Ralph Caso and Francis Purcell. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A veteran’s service was conducted by the American Legion Post No. 339 of Lawrence-Cedarhurst at the Meserole Funeral Home in Inwood on July 12. A funeral mass was celebrated at St. Joachim R.C. Church in Cedarhurst the next day, followed by internment at Holy Rood R.C. Cemetery in Westbury.

Josephine Ann Caglioti

Accomplished artist died on July 14

Josephine Ann Caglioti (née Ferro) died on July 14. She was 81-years-old.

Born on May 30, 1930 in Inwood, she attended Number Two School and graduated from Lawrence High School, class of 1948.

An accomplished artist, Caglioti attended the Traphagen Institute of Design, and the Fashion Institute of Technology, both in Manhattan. In 1953, she married R. F. Cagiloti and they lived in Oceanside and Sea Cliff before moving to southwest Florida in 1979.

The couple was inseparable before he died on April 24, 2009. And Caglioti lived life to the fullest from playing tennis, fishing for marlin in Acapulco, transforming ordinary food into extraordinary in the kitchen, or simply feeding the birds.

Cagiloti is survived by her children Bear, Christopher and Lee Alice, and grandchildren Arlen and Mark. Her family honored her memory with a private celebration of love and joy.
