Reunited and it feels so good

Former Trade School attendees came together for their annual reunion in Lawrence

Those who once attended Trade School in Lawrence, now known as the Five Towns Community Center, hosted their annual reunion on July 28.

President Annette “Pat” Jones, a longtime Inwood resident, spearheads the Trade School Reunion Committee, which started in the late 1960s. The committee volunteers its time, talents and funds to keep the tradition going of awarding scholarships to seven to ten graduating high school seniors each year.

The reunion, which is always held on the last Saturday in July at the Five Towns Community Center, located at 270 Lawrence Avenue in Lawrence, included an assortment of food and beverages, including hamburgers, hot dogs and soda. Former Trade School attendees came from as far as Alabama, Virginia, California and Nevada to attend the annual reunion.
