Rina Beach, an assistant principal at Lawrence Middle School, was promoted to principal of the district's the Number Five School.

Rina Beach, who has worked in the Lawrence School District for the past dozen years and served as an assistant principal at the middle school for the last four, was officially announced as the new principal of the Number Five School in Cedarhurst at the Board of Education meeting on Monday.
Beach will replace Jennifer DeSena, who left the district for another position. Beach also served as ELA (English Language Arts) chairwoman at the middle school. She also was the district’s curriculum director for ELA, social studies and reading for grades six through 12 from 2006 to 2009.
