Sarah ‘Sadie’ Minichello dies at 74

Far Rockaway resident Sarah ‘Sadie’ Minichello died on March 26. She was 74.

Born in Ireland on Dec. 13, 1937, Minichello’s family’s emigrated to the U.S. and she lived in Cedarhurst and Far Rockaway. Besides raising her family, Minichello was known to help elderly neighbors in the Cedarhurst and Lawrence communities. Minichello was predeceased by her husband John Minichello and son Joseph. She is survived by her daughter Cathy and son John, grandchildren Michelle, Natalie, Nicole, Johnathan and Cynthia, and three great grandchildren.

A wake was held Meserole Funeral Home in Inwood, the funeral service was at Our Lady of Good Council Church, also in Inwood, and Minichello was interred at Pinelawn Cemetery in Farmingdale.
