Slight rise in Five Towns coronavirus cases

With the number of people being tested for the Covid-19 coronavirus increasing there is a corresponding rise in the number of cases. In recent days the increase has slowed in the Five Towns.
 
According to the Nassau County Covid map Woodmere remains the Five Towns hotspot with 479  cases, as of April 23. Inwood has 247 cases. Lawrence has 208, Hewlett 148 and Cedarhurst 134.
 
Atlantic Beach has 40 cases. Hewlett Harbor has 29 ( down eight), Woodsburgh 15, Hewlett Neck 9 and Hewlett Bay Park 4.
 
Officials from Gov. Andrew Cuomo to Nassau Couty Execuive Laura Curran have reminded residents that social distancing -- remaining 6 feet away from people, not gathering in groups and remaining at home -- must be continued to "flatten the curve" and reduce the risk of infecton.
