Town of Hempsead Child Safety ID program in Cedarhurst

Posted

The Town of Hempstead will be offering a free child safety ID program at Andrew J. Parise Cedarhurst Park in Cedarhurst village on Tuesday beginning at 6:30 p.m., and while the last summer concert under the gazebo is taking place. The park is at the intersection of Cedarhurst and Summit avenues.

The ID program includes a safety kit that contains potentially lifesaving information to be used in case of an emergency. Town Clerk employees will be taking fingerprints and photographs of the children, which will be stored in a kit along with any medical data, dental records and other personal information that you want stored. The information is not retained by the town or any other agency.

If unable to attend the Aug. 31 Child Safety Program, you can call the Town of Hempstead Town Clerk’s Office at (516) 812-3046 to schedule an appointment to come to Hempstead Town Hall at 1 Washington Ave. in Hemptsead to complete the kit.
