Volleyball fun raises $1,900 for Hewlett High School senior class

The second annual Hewlett-Woodmere public schools staff volleyball championship at Hewlett High School on Feb. 27 included tough competition and fun, according to those who attended and the staff from the district’s five schools — Hewlett High, Woodmere Middle School, Franklin Early Childhood and Hewlett and Ogden Elementary schools,  who took part. Ogden Elementary staff captured the trophy from the Hewlett High staff who won last year.

Proceeds, $1,900 was raised, support Senior Night and the after-prom party for the senior class at Dave and Buster’s. Last year, the inaugural event raised more than $2,200 for the class of 2019. Along with the competition, pizza and refreshments were available for purchase in the cafeteria.
